Many of my friends complain about not being able to do activities because of their “age” issue:
Oh, if only I were younger, I would totally go running with you!
If I wasn’t so old, I’d definitely go canoeing with you guys, but I think it’ll be too much for me!
But hasn’t it occurred to them that if they were practicing regular exercise regimes that they wouldn’t be so sore after working out?
You don’t have to go to the gym to see results; you can easily lose weight at home if you practice a consistent workout routine of stretching and various exercises. Combine physical exercise with the facial muscle exercise you’ll get from microcurrent facial toning system and you’re golden!
The easiest form of exercise is walking. You don’t have to go outside if you don’t want the neighbors watching! Turn on some great music and walk on the spot in your living room.
Regardless of your age, you can find some type of activity that works for you. I know a lot of people who can’t do high impact exercises or aerobics because of knee troubles or back pain. No worries! There are plenty of low impact exercises you can do that involve dancing and moving your hips without having to worry about joint pain. Autumn Calabrese recently released a new country dance workout that can help you burn up to 300 calories in under 30 minutes and the majority of the moves are marching or walking on the spot combined with some arm movement. If you aren’t as worried about burning calories and weight loss as you are about staying in shape, you might want to take up a dance lesson or sport.
The sky is the limit – you can join a salsa or bachata dance class for beginners. Or perhaps take up women’s baseball. If you prefer something that is especially good for the joints and any aches or pains, take up water aerobics. If you prefer to avoid any group activity, just ask your grand kids or any children in your family to play a game of tag or hide and seek. You’d be amazed at how many calories you can burn purely by “playing” and jumping rope with the young ones. Not only will it be great for your cardiovascular health, but it’s great for the heart and soul too.
